When? When? When? Jesus Can We as Teenagers Young Adults, Revealing to Our Generations? This powerful question is the title of one of Arthur Besler’s books, pointing directly to an urgent mission.

In a distracted world, maintaining spiritual focus on discipleship and fulfilling God’s purpose is more important than ever. The older generations have often become lukewarm, focused on the form of religion but not its power.

So, God is passing the torch.

Now is the right moment for teenagers and young adults to step up and reveal God’s truth to their friends and the world.

This is not just a good idea. It is a calling. Besler says that Jesus is “turning His full attention on the younger.

This is the opportune time for the young Christian, for God is looking for young hearts ready to see His power at work.

Why This is the Right Moment for Youth

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.–1 Timothy 4:12

You might feel too young or not ready, but remember that the Bible is filled with stories of young people God used in profound, world-changing ways. The inspired books of the Bible, along with other sacred books and ancient scrolls, have shaped the faith of generations and provide biblical instruction for spiritual growth.

The book reminds us of many young heroes: David, who was a teenager when he was anointed king; Jeremiah, who was barely a youth when God called him to be a prophet; and Joseph, who was a teenager when he became an instrument of the Lord.

God does not wait for you to be old. He uses you at the proper time and, sometimes, this proper time comes in your youth.

This is the perfect timing for your generation.

The world is searching for something real, and you can show them the truth of Jesus.

As you turn the pages of scripture for yourself, you discover God’s message and destiny for your life. Besler states that young people “are the only hope for the world, of having a ‘Spiritual Revival’.

Many church leaders today have lost their fire. They have a form of godliness but deny its power. This has created a gap. This gap is your favorable opportunity. Besler says, “the young generation must pick up the Fiery Torch of the Holy Spirit, and begin of fulfilling the Scriptures.” You are not the future of the church; you are its vital, powerful now.

How to Seize the Coming Time

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.–Matthew 24:44

So, how do you, as a young person, step into this calling?

It starts with being prepared. Besler urges you to “get prepared, for evidently the older generations are allowing their mind to be clocked with earthly formalities.

First, you need to establish a personal connection with God. As such, you must go beyond just going to church. It means praying and reading the Bible for yourself. Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Lifting your hands in prayer can be a powerful gesture of surrender and openness to God’s presence.

The power to change your generation won’t come from you alone. It will come from God’s Spirit living in you.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses…–Acts 1:8

The book promises that when you are filled with the Spirit, you will receive power to be a witness.

Second, don’t be afraid to use the gifts God gives you. The Bible talks about special gifts from the Holy Spirit. These include gifts like wisdom, faith, healing, and prophecy. These gifts are not for a select few. They are for all believers to help the church and reach the lost.

Besler encourages you that these gifts are for “the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry.” This is the ideal instant to discover and use the gifts God has placed inside you.

The Power of the Holy Spirit’s Presence

The presence of the Holy Spirit is the heartbeat of a believer’s life, providing the totality needed to prepare for Jesus’s return and fulfill your unique role in the fivefold ministries.

Arthur J. Besler shares how, from a young age, the Holy Spirit’s presence became a guiding force in his life—an experience that began in the quiet mornings on approximately five thousand acres of family homestead, where the day would start with reading from the Old Testament book of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 1:5 stands as a powerful reminder:

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

This scripture reveals that every believer—sons, daughters, women, and young adults alike—has been consecrated and set apart for a sacred purpose. The Holy Spirit’s presence is what makes this calling real, equipping you to reach the world with the true gospel of Christ.

As Besler left home at the age of seventeen, he discovered that being involved in ministry and seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance was essential for navigating life’s questions and challenges.

Whether in the stillness of the morning or the quiet of the night, the Holy Spirit satisfies the deepest longings of the heart, providing comfort and security even when problems arise.

As the world faces new problems and uncertainties, the Holy Spirit’s presence among the youth is more crucial than ever.

Your Role in the Great Harvest

37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.–Matthew 9:37-38

Jesus said that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Right now, the world is a field ripe for harvest. People are hungry for hope and truth. But many of the older workers have lost that fire.

“[M]ost seniors and older adults as of being the Church leaders… have lost that compelling call.”

This is your optimal point to step in. You are called to be a worker in this last great harvest. It is vital to be actively involved in ministry, not just as a participant but as someone involved called to serve in the fivefold ministry—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.

There is a noticeable increase in spiritual commitment among young people, as more are stepping up to answer God’s call.

Besler makes it clear:

“So, possibly or probably you as the young men and women, are the Apostle, the Prophet and/or Prophetess, the Evangelist, the Pastor/Bishop, or the Teacher.”

The central question of When? When? When? Jesus Can We as Teenagers Young Adults, Revealing to Our Generations? is for you: Jesus, can we as teenagers and young adults be the ones revealing you to our generation? Of course, the answer is a resounding yes, and there is no better time than now.

Answer the Call at the Right Moment

God is not waiting. He is actively recruiting young people for a great spiritual awakening. He is walking the earth, in the Spirit, looking for willing hearts. The right moment is here.

It is time to stop waiting and start doing.
